EMPTY TINS PROBLEM
THE WORST OFFENDERS, “The disposal of empty tins is-one of the most difficult problems of the lountry housewife,” said the Ingleby A.rncliifffe representative at the recent annual meeting of the Yorkshire Federation of Women’s Institutes. “There are no such things as suitable dumps,” said the speaker. “If people go on finding the 'suitable dumps’ England will become one huge tin dump. Tho county councils are among the worst offenders with tar containers, which are not even dumped, but are just left on the roadside.” A resolution was passed urging the three county councils of Yorkshire “to idopt some scheme for the disposal of janburnablq refuse from villages.’
