Mr. Walter Noedl, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noedl, who recently underwent an operation for appendicitis, is convalescing at Foxton beach. The Bank of New South "Wales directorate yesterday appointed Mr. A. C. Davidson general manager, in succession to Mr! Oscar Lines, retired. Professor Johannes Schmidt, the Danish scientist, and a party of specially invited frionds, paid a visit to Massey Agriculture college yesterday afternoon boing conducted over the institution by the Principal, Professor Peren. Afterwards they were entertained at afternoon tea at the Rosco tearooms by Mr. C. Dahl, Danish viceconsul, of Palmerston North. In the morning, accompanied by Mr. Dahl, Professor Schmidt visited the Awapuni Co-operative dairy factory. Wherover he has been taken, the distinguished visitor has manifested doep interest in all that he has seen and provided circumstances -ire favourable,' it is his intention to have various points of interest iD the district, recorded by the cinematographer attached to the expedition. If ho is successful, Palmerston North and parts of the Manawatu will feature in film before Danish audiences.
