AH J. A. Cookslcy presided over a full meeting of the Manawatu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club last evening All arrangements w r ero inade for the annual sports meeting to be held on Alarch. 2. Aliss Norma Wilson, of Gisborne, New Zealand Olympic representative and Miss P. Stewart, of Wairoa having signified their intention of competing on Alarch 2, it was deeded to place a special 100 yards challenge race on the programme. The secretary, Air G. Burton, advised that there was every likelihood of Stan Lay competing in the javelin throwing and that the Oakley brothers, of Masterton, tho Alisses Jackson, of Carterton had written stating their intention of entering in the cycling and running classes respectively.
