CHURCH SERVICES

ST. PAUL’S METHODIST CHURCH. Special New Year services will be held at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Broadway Avenue, to-morrow, when Rev. J. Ernest Parsons will be the preacher at both morning and evening. The subject anounced f6r tho morning is “Tho Instruction of God,” and the children’s talk will bo based on the story of “The Picture that is to Be.” In the evening “Paul’s Sure Persuasion” will be tho subject. Miss Jean Pacey will sing O Gospel Solo, this being her last attendance at St. Paul’s before sailing for the Old Country. Tho Communion service will follow tho ordinary service. Mr. Parsons will also preach at Aokautcre in the afternoon. Visitors to Palmerston North will fin'd a spirit of welcome at these services. Milson. —The services at Milson tomorrow ovening will be conducted by Mr. N. Challenger who is always a welcome preacher. The Rev. F. A. Crawsliaw will conduct all services at the Baptist Church to-morrow. Thcro will be the usual prayer meeting at 7.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. the subject will be a New Year’s Message, “First Things First.” Mr. Crawshaw will conduct tho Popular Monthly Song Servico commencing at 0.30 p.m. with the singing of the fav-! ourite hymns chosen by tho congregation and at 7 p.m. the subject is “Behold! I Stand and Knock.” There will be a Communion Servico. at- the close of the morning service. The services at Cuba Street Methodist Church will be conducted by the minister, tho Rev. J. D. McArthur on Sunday. The 11 a.m. subject will bo “Optimism for the New Year,” and tho 7 p.tn. “What’s Round tho Corner?” The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be dispensed at the close of the evening service. Mr. McArthur will preach at Longburn at 2.30, the Sacrament following. A retiring collection will be taken at Longburn for the work of our Orphanage at Mastcrton. “If you have no Church home, make our a yours.”-
