REQUEST FOR SCHOOL AT CLOVERLEA
CONSIDERED BY WANGANUI EDUCATION BOABD. At a meeting of the Wanganui Education Board held last evening, Mr. M, H. Oram (Palmerston North) brought up the question of a recent request made by Cloverlea settlers for the establishment of a school in that district. The Board decided to refer the matter again to the chief inspector and secretary, to go into the ucstion of the carriage of children to school and to discover whether more suitable arrangements than those obtaining at present can be made. At the present time the children from Cloverlea settlement attend the Central school but are compelled to travel a considerable distance to th&t institution. •
