TENNIS CLUB. From Our Own Correspondent. The annual meeting of the Rangiwahia Tennis club was held in tile Rangiwahia hall on Wednesday last. Mr. Saywell presided over a fair attendance. The election of biilccrs for the ensuing year is as follows: —President, Mr. L. Rogers; vice-presidents, Mrs. Morgan, Mr. Gray, Mr. Watt. Mr. Saywell; secretary, Mr. W. Wilton; club captain, Mr. W. Wilton; committee, Mrs. L. Rogers, Miss E. Delhi, Miss G. Morgan, Miss C. Meads, Mr. D. Saywell, Mr. P. Saywell, Mr. Burge, Mr. T. Morgan. The courts are to bo opened on Labour Day, October 22. Concert Party. The Red and Black Dandies of Mangaweka, visited Rangiwahia on Friday night last, and gave a good entertainment. There was a large attendance and the concert proved a great success. The proceeds were in aid of the Mangawcka Tennis club, and the Rangiwahia bulb show. An enjoyable supper was provided by the Rangiwahia bulb show committee. Card Tournament. The fortnightly card tournament was hold in the Rangiwahia hall on Saturday night last. The proceeds were in aid of Lodge M.TJ.1.0.0.P. Rangiwahia. There rvas an exceptionally large attendance. and the night proved a very enjoyable one. Supper was provided by the Lodge social committee. The winners were as follows: —Ladies cribbage, Mrs. C. Deihl; consolation, Mrs. Mocss; men’s cribbage, Mr. 0. Deihl; consolation, Mr. W. Deihl; ladies’ euchre, Miss M. Ireland; consolation, Miss D. Gray; men’s euchre, Mr. P. Martin. Personal. Mr. MoGuinness of Hinau, Rangiwahia, has been appointed judge of the dbg -trials at the Palmerston North show. Mrs. J. Rose, of Rangiwahia, is at present spending a holiday at Raetihi. Mrs. L. Rose has returned from a holiday at Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Hodge are due to arrive in New Zealand from England this month. The bobby calf industry is drawing to a close. The considerable number of 500, have left the district, and this should be a boon to the dairy farmers, of Rangiwahia,
