From Our Own Correspondent. A general meeting of the Apiti Tennis Club was held in the Technical School on Tuesday night. The following officers were elected for the coming season;—Mr. E. H. Cummeriield, patron; Mr. S. Strahan, president; vicepresidentsj Messrs. Roberts, H. Osborno and F. Prujcan. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. N. Gould, tho resigning president, for his work, during his term of office. Secretary, Mr. K. Waterson; executive committee, the president, secretary, N. Gould, A. J. Hosking, Mrs. Cantwell, Mrs. Osborno and Miss Cummerfield. The position of Club captain was held over for tho time being. The subscriptions were fixed at 12s 6d pe,r men and 7s 6d for ladies. It is proposed to hold tho opening day on Labour Day, when members of the surrounding clubs will be asked to bo present. The financial position is quite satisfactory as the Club starts this year with a credit balance of £6 16s 6d.
