DOMINION LADIES TAKE PART IN ROSE BAY GOLF TOURNEY

The Golf Cup competitions on, .the Bose Bay links opened in glorious weathpr. _ , The leaders at the end of the first round, thirty-sis holes stroke play, all competitors on scratch, were two Victorians, Miss Mona M'Leod, lady champion of Australia, and Mrs Alexander Bussell. Both gave fine' exhibitions! pi the game.. Miss Olive Kay, of Dunedin, lady champion of New Zealand, who has created great interest, hardly did herself justice on the first day, but spine oi her short approaches were very fine.

Miss M'Leod ahd Mrs Bussell each took 84 in the first round.. Miss Kay took 93.

Mrs Bussell triumphed on the second day, taking 80, and winning the cup, 84-80—164. Miss M'Leod was second, 84-82—166,. and ;Miss Morgan (Now South Wales) third, 87-84—171. Miss Kay ? s scpre was 93-83—176. She played a vastly, .improved game on the second day, owing to her greater familiarity with, the links. ~ Her long hitting caused admiration ,and her approaching was much' more accurate than on the first day. She, however, found the light different from New Zealand. Miss Muriel Payton (Rotorua) took 93-91—184, and miss Snodgrass (Rotorua) 102-96—r198. -• : V ■ 1 The stroke handicap (18 holes) was won by Miss Wy liter. Mrs ShoilertVcston (Now.
