PLEADS GUILTY, BUT SAYS INTENT ABSENT
EXPLANATION ACCEPTED. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, Last Night. rested at Wellington on Friday on a charge of being found in a girl's bedroom at Eenwickton on Thursday last, and with assaulting the parents of the girl when she called them in, pleaded guilty this morning at the Blenheim Court. He urged drunkenness as extenuating circumstances and stated that he hdd no evil indent; he merely entered the room through the window to have a talk. When tho parents arrived he naturally attempted to get away and a scuffle ensued. . The Magistrate accepted the explanation, and on accused promising to take out a prohibition order, ordered him to come up for sentence within six months on tho major charge. He also find him £5 for assault and ordered him to pay tho costs of tho prosecution, £3/14/-.
