A sub committee was however set up to revise these rules. . At the previous meeting, Mr, Eglintoc had given notice of motion to amend the : rules governing the conduct of the Abraham Cup. Mr. Eglinton’s motion was: '“That tho rules governing the conduct of the Abraham Cup be amended so that when a club has more' than one team in any grade, the points gained by each team in that grade be taken' into, account in' arriving' at the total number of points gained by that club, provided i however that this rule shall apply only to a senior cjub with a team or teams in consecutive grades. ’ ’ Mr. Pagan, in seconding'the motion, expressed his opinion that the percentage system would be better, as it might mean that a club might not win any grade championship and yet win the Abraham Cup. Mr. Crawford raised the question as to whether the amendment would come into operation this year. Ho thought it, too late to amend the rules. Mr. Collins said' that the smaller townships often had a heavy task to put teams into tho field for the various grades. He could not support tho motion as it was too late this year. Ho also believed that the bigger centres would have a great pull over the minor centres.

1 Mr. Burlacc suggested that if there wero 'A' and ‘B’ teams in any one 'grade, only tho ‘A’ team's points should j count for the club championship. . ( Mr. Colquhoun stated that if the motion was carried it would come into operation immediately. . i The motion on being put to the meet- | ing was lost. i On the motion of Mr. Eglinton a sub ! committee consisting o£ Messrs. Colquhuori, Pagan and Ongley was elected to go into the question of revising the rules for tho club championship competition, and report to the council at a future meeting. -
