VAN HITS LIGHT POLE; MAN GRAVELY INJURED
Per Press Association. NELSON, Last Night. As a result of -a motor van colliding •with an electric light pole in Waimea Road on Saturday evening George Briggs, a married man resident at Tatuinanui is in'hospital in a serious condition with a fractured skull and a broken jaw. The other occupant, Leo Cresswell, was not seriously hurt.
