THINGS TO LEARN FROM ABORIGINES
PERFECT COMMUNITY LIFE OF BLACKS SHOWN BY EXPERT ADELAIDE, S. Aus. A contrast between tho completecommunity existence enjoyed by thr Australian aborigines and tho lack oi cohesion among their white brethrci has been drawn by Dr. Warner, i young American anthropologist of tht Roekfellcr Institute, . who has open, over a year studying tho blacks in tho various states and in the wild remote ness of tho Northern Territory, Every member of a native group says Dr. Warner, participates in th< ceremonial, religious, economic and social life of the tribe. On tho othei hand, largo cities in which white men dwell are peopled by disintegrated units, having comparatively little co hesion or common purpose. Dr. Warner advocates the complete segregation of native tribes, with Federal, control and State subdopartmonts, in some area useless for white settlement, in which they would be left to'enjoy their freedom‘in ,their own primitive way. At tho same ,time he asserts that tho aboriginal has no' initial handicap in the matter of intelligence 'in relation' to the white races. ■■■ •■■■. -
