Leckie was the cleverer of the two at long .range fighting, but the Eng-, Ush boy scored well at in-flghting. \; The best blow of the' night was landed by Eadford in the twelfth rpond when he connected with a beautiful upper cut with the right which'sent Leckie’s head back and-put Him off his balance. Eadford followed up the advantage and was scoring Well on the ropes when the bell went. It was not altogether what might bo termed a spectacular light and the referee was over-indulgent in the matter of holding.
