GOLF
It is getting on for three years since tho Eanui Golf Club captured the Nathan Cup which as will be remembered, was presented by Mr. F. J. Nathan for intcr-olub competition for players whose handicap was not less than 12. Somehow, it. has never been found possible to get a team away to play for tho cup, but the matter was put in the hands of Mr., Brian Keillor, who is a most enthusiastic match player, and ho has managed to afrangc for 12 players, the limit number allowed. Tho team, as below, will play on the Eanui Club’s links this week-end, and it is hoped they will bring the cup back with them:—L.M. Abraham, Colonel Whyte, H. Chapman, B. Kcillcr (acting captain), E. Howat, E. B. Lucas, L. Seifert Junr., E. A. Douglas, J. Taylor, H. Pctrc, L. H. Thompson, N. Buist. FEILDING v. WANGANUI. , A match will be played to-day between Wanganui and Foilding, following being tho draw, Wanganui player* being mentioned first: — J. S. Harrison v. Carmine; Stringer v, Stitchbury, Bcrnau v. Gorton, Scannell v. Graham, Howie v. Fair, Hunter v. Seifert, Hewat v. Fawcett, Haworth v. Salmond, Saunders y. Harding, Armstrong v. S. A. Parkcs, Bogle v. E. M. Hare, Jackson v. Giesen, Cutfield v. Carthew, Mcßae v. Tingey, Blyth y. Dixon, Gave v. McDonnell, Grieve y. Saywell, Lawrence v. Pettigrew, Nowton v. Burrell, Burgess V. Short, Hilly.
