AMATEUR BOXING
BULLS TOURNEY. . In past years the Eangitikei Boxing Association have been noted for the excellence of' their amateur boxing tourneys and this year the inatchings indicate that the high standard is to be maintained. For the tournament to bo held in the Town Hall at Bulls on Monday evening next, July 23, leading amateurs from Wanganui, Patea, <Fcilding, Marton, Palmerston North, Awapuni and Pahiatua will bo seen in action.
The matchings arc: Oxley.(Pahiatua) v. E. Mercer (Patea); Hepburn (Feilding) v. Shown (Patea); Karim (New Plymouth) v. Karton (Wanganui); O'Reilly (Fcilding; v. Sid Gray ’ (Wanganui); Cutelli (Wanganui) v. Brant (Palmerston North); McLellau (Marton) r. A. Candy (Palmerston North) ; A. Paddy (Palmerston North) v, D. Price (Feilding); B. Stratton v. C. Broughton/ ; and K. Voitre v . W. Broughton (all from Awapuni). ; Prices’ arc advertised in .this issue and a great night's amateur boxing'is assured.
