STOCK SALES
Levin and Co. Ltd. report having a good entry of sheep and a small one of cattle at Fcilding sale on June 29th. Fat lambs were again keenly competed for, prices.in a number of.cases exceeding last week’s quotations. The fat sheep penned were, for the most, of only medium quality, and while bidding was not brisk, prices were satisfactory to vendors. Prices on a few good pens of young breeding ewes r.w. S.D. rams were well within recent values though with the exception of one pen, we had a total clearance. There was a good demand for dairy stock showing quality. though the bulk of yarding was medium quality and later calvers. Store bullocks were below recent sales. A full yarding of mostly medium quality fat cattle met with a dull sale. Fat shorn b.f. lambs 22/4, 26/-, 30/-. 30/6, 33/-, fat shorn w.f. lambs 32/6. fat ewes (best) 28/7, 29/6. .31/4, 33/7, 35/-, fat ewes (light) 23/1, 25/-, 27/9. fat wethers 33/-, 37/2. wether lambs flight) 22/1, store wethers 29/-, four-tooth to fquwycar ewes r.w Rom. 33/-, aged ewes r.w. S.D. rams 24/10, two and four-tooth to four-year ewes r.w. S.D. rams 35/6, 38/6, four and live-year ewes r.w, S.D. rgms 33/8; * yearling heifers £2/16/-, £3/5/-, £4/5/-, springing dairv cows £lO/10/-, store cows 30/-. £2/13/6. £3 10/-, store bullocks (line) £B/12/6, fat cows £5/15/-, £7/7/6, £B.
