Improvement Reported In Chang’s Condition
CRITICAL SITUATION DEVELOPS AT TIENTSIN United Service, TOK3O, June 7. Marshal Chang Tso-lin’s campaign i? reported to have improved, although it is still critical. There is a most critical situation around Tientsin, where upwards of 8000 partly disorganised Shantung and Chili troops threaten to break through tho International Defence Zone. It is feared that the Chinese and Japanese forces defending the section of Tientsin around the cast station may clash at any time, which will mean that other international forces, including Americans and British, will be likely to bo soon involved.
