DEPRESSION FOLLOWS NOTICE OF DISMISSAL
DEATH OP COUNCIL EMPLOYEE, Per Press Association. CHEISTCHUEGH, Last Night. Solomon Eowc, aged 62, drank liniment prescribed by a doctor for external application and died from the effects in the Christchurch hospital this morning. This was the substance of a verdict at the inquest to-day by the Coroner, Mr. Mosley. Eowc, it was stated, had been for twenty years employed by the county council but lately was given three months notice. This made him depressed. After hearing the evidence the Coroner found that the cause of death was poisoning but that there was insufficient evidence to show whether it had been taken accidentally or tionally. .
