In the Houso of Commons, Sir Laming Worthington-Evans, Secretary of War, said in reply to a question, that the army kept small quantities of phosgene gas (which caused the Hamburg disaster) for experimental purposes. Sir V. L. Henderson (Cons.) in answer to questions, admitted that there was no special regulations preventing the storage of poisonous gases near large centres of population, but the containers had a large margin of safety.
