WEDDING

HALLOW—HINTON. A wedding, of interest to residents of Wellington, Palmerston North, and more particularly of ' Marton, took place at Marton recently, between Thelma Mary, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. A. Hinton, of Marton, and Aloysins Vernon (late of the Bank of New Zealand, Marton), only son of Mr and Mrs. Dallow, Island Pay. The bride was escorted by her father, and wore a frock of cream georgette, with inlets of silver lace and cream fur, and pearls. The bride wore a veil of cream tulle with coronet of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, begonias, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Madge Dallow, sister of the bridegroom, wore a frock ol almond green georgette with a spray of hand-made flowers on the shoulder, and-wore a hat to match. She carried a bouquet of cosmeas, Michaelmas daisies and maidenhair fern. Mr A. Key, of Wellington, carried out the duties of best man. The Kov. Father Lynch officiated at the ceremony, and afterwards at the Nuptial Mass. The mother of the bride wore a frock of black marocain embroidered with red and gold; the bridegroom’s mother wore a navy blue crepe do chine frock, with posio and’hat to tone; Mrs. E. Key, sister of the bridegroom, wore a frock of apricot crepe do chine with satin coat and hat to match. The numerous guests were entertained at breakfast at the residence of the bride’s parents where the usual toasts were honoured. Mr and Mrs. Dallow left later by train for Wellington and Nelson, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride wore a frock of saxe blue repp with hat and coat to tone.
