Those Goal Posts
To the Editor. Sir,—l wish through your widelyread columns to issue a most emphatic protest re tho state of the goal posts on tho Showgrounds controlled by that most autocratic and wealthy body—to wit the Manawatu Rugby Union. Anyone with a fair mind will agree with me that the paddings on tho goal posts are not' in conformity with rules governing this most important and very desirable point from players’ standpoint. To older fans who have followed the grand old game when most of to-day’s players look to the light of other days I think that they will agree with me, that I am on the right track. —I am, etc., STANLEY WRIGHT.
