LADIES' HOCKEY,

The match played on Wednesday between the Hincmoa and Athletic teams drew a large attendance of onlookers. The game was played on the Hinomoa grounds, and was refereod by Messrs. Herdman and Teague, of Fcilding. Play was most strenuous on both sides, yet. despite the fact that Hinemoa had slightly the best of the game throughout, they were unable to score, the game ending in a draw. The Hinomoa Club entertained the visitors at afternoon tea.
