WANGANUI WOOL SALE

Distributing Coy. Report LIFE-SAVING '(Per Prc s3 Association.) WANGANUI, Last KSght. The Now Zealand Co-op. Distributing Co. Ltd., report as follows .we held our third wool sale of the season in Wanganui on Friday evening. The total offering consisted of 16,885 bales of which our offering comprised 2,230 bales. The selection was well up to standard there being some bright lots throughout our catalogue which was submitted about 9 p.m. A full attendance of buyers graced the benches and a most animated and keen salo eventuated. After the splendid clearance of crossbred wools that had been effected in Wellington and Auckland it was expected that competition would bo keen. Theso expectations was fully realised. The bidding at times was particularly spirited, and the whole tone of the salo was buoyant. Prices, as compared with the sale held last month, were distinctly in sellers favour. Flue wools were from Id. to 13ch and occasionally 2d. per pound dearer whilst medium and coarse wools advanced from 3d. to Id. Lambs wool was in good demand as were skirtings. Generally speaking they may be quoted as fully on a par with Wellington and Auckland. The feature of our sale was the 'excellent prices obtained on account of D.
