YOUNG MAN DROWNED AT DUNEDIN BEACH
SOME EXCITING RESCUES. (For Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Last Night. A young man named Thomas Dick, aged 16, was drowned at St. Clair tonight about 7 o’clock. It appears that a girl named Mamie Green and a man named Samuel Cameron got into difficulties and a man whose name is unknown wont out to attempt a rescue and himself got into trouble. But by aid of a life-line however Miss Green and her would-be rescuer were safely brought ashore, and Cameron was also saved by a man who disappeared without divulging his name.
After the excitement of the rescue had died down a little tho startling discovery was made that a young man (Dick) had been noticed some 50 yards further out than the pear who were brought ashore. Bu tho time the discovery was made however he had disappeared.
