HOSPITALS’ BURDENS
MOTOR ACCIDENTS FACTOR. BELIEF FOR INSTITUTIONS. LONDON,'February 7. The Earl of Donoughmore in a letter to the Times, says that owing to the burden thrown’ upon hospitals by the increasing number of motor accl dents.- the committee of the King Ed ward’s Hospital Fund, of which ire is chairman, has invited representatives of hospitals, insurance companies, and loading motorists' organisations, to a conference. Apart from the additional expense, says the carl, motor accident patients, excluding cases of sickness, are causing congestion and delay. Ho suggests that the most effective solution would 1 be a specific provision in motor insur i anco policies- for agreed payments to hospitals-in respect of accidents.
