UNDEFENDED DIVORCE ACTIONS. At the Supreme Court in Palmerston North yesterday, the Hon. Mr. Justice Ostler was engaged hearing undefended divorce petitions. Separated Three Years. Frederick Delamoy Buckie (Mr. Onglcy) petitioned for divorce from Martha Buckie, alleging separation for three years. , Petitioner in evidence stated that he was a former residing at Hastings and was married on July 24, 190 1, On October IS, 1924 ho and his wife agreed to separate, petitioner allowing her £4 per week. They had been apart over since. Evidence was given in corroboration and his Honour granted a decree nisi to be made absolute • after the expiration of three months. Adultery Alleged. Adultery was alleged by Stacey Crichton (Mr. Ongley) when seeking divorce from Elizabeth Jane Crichton. Petitioner told his Honour that he was a flax-cutter living at Bulls, and was married on October 14, 1922 at Auckland. They went and petitioner had not seen her since. Annie Agnes McKenna, of Foixton, stated that on October 27, a Mr. and Mrs. Purcell stopped at the ManawatA hotel. Police Sergeant O’Neill, of Taihape, who arrested respondent on August 22 on warrant issued from Eketahuna by his wife, said Hackett was living with another woman in Taihape as man and wife. Petitioner said he was a farmer, of Dannevirke, and did a fairly large fanning business.
