BREACH OP NAVIGATION. REGULATIONS IN STRAIT Passengers Were Much Alarmed (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The recent navigation incident in Cook .Strait was subject to an official inquiry by tbe Union Company to-day. The vessels, concerned were the Maunganui bound from Wellington to Sydned, and the. Tamahine bound from Wollingtgon to Picton. It was alleged that the passengers of both vessels were much alarmed by the proximity of the vessels when they were travelling in the vicinity of Karori Eock. The- inquiry showed that a breach of the Company's regulations had been committedBoth masters accordingly were each relieved of his command of the passenger vessels concerned- and transferred to cargo vessels in the Company’s service. ■ .
