CHURCH SERVICES

Rev.- A. H. Soriven, who has spent 14 years in Papua, as a “missionary of the Methodist Church, will be the special preacher at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Broadway Avenue, nest Sunday morning. Mr. Scrivin has a wonderful story to tell of the changes he has seen in Papua during these eventful years. A large congregation, is anticipated. Mr. H. J,, Harris will be the preacher at the evening service and will also conduct the service at Aokautere in the afternoon - The Rev. F. A. Crawshaw will deal with the subject of what constitutes true neighbourliness at 11 a.m. at the Baptist Church to-morrow when he takes as his subject “Priest, .Levite or Good Samaritan—which are you?” At the evening service his subject is one which should afford encouragement and help to many—it is “The Gospel of the Second Chance. ” All interested are cordially invited to attend these homely and spiritual services. The Rev. Harold T. Peat will preach both morning and “evening in Cuba street Church to-morrow, The day has has been set apart as a day of “thanksgiving. Tho morning subject is * ‘ The Crowning Glory of Human Life.”. In the evening the theme is “Tho Home of the Soul. ” A social hour will be spent in the church all after the evening service so that tho spirit of fellowship may be cultivated. Every seat is free and visitors are cordially invited.
