JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE

Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd. and Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., report on their JohnsonvlUe sale yesterday as follows:—A fairly good yarding of all classes of stock came forward, but several pens of wethers were hardly finished. The sheep sale was good, ewes especially selling very well. Good wethers sold -well within value. Ox beef sold very freely, the quality being good, although not extra heavy. Good cows and heifers sold at late rates although lighter sorts were hard to quit. We quote:—'Wethers, 35/-, 36/6, 37/-, 38/7 to 39/-; ewes, 30/-, 34/3, to 37/9; bullocks, £l2 12/6, £l2 17/6, £l3 2/6, £l3 5/-. £l3 15/-, £l4, to £l4 5/-; cows £5 17/6, £6 5/-, £7, to £7 12/6: heifers, £7 15/-, £8 ,5/-, £8 ,12/6’ £9 17/6; runners (heavy) £4 5/-; vealcrs, 28/-, 37/6, £2 1/-, £2 6/-, to £2 10/-.
