Entries were on the light side at to-day’s Addington market, and the sale was a very satisfactory one to vendors. Fat cattle sold better. Fat sheep maintained their recent values, and 1 store sheep also met with a firm de.imand, Spring lambs, of winch there were 38, averaged from 32/- to 40/1, the bulk bringing over 35/-. Store sheep: The best of the ewest wethers and hoggets sold well, though backward sorts hardly made the same prices as last week. Ewes awl lambs met with a good sale. Aged ' ewes 15/- to 17/6; falling-mouthed halfbred ewes 28/3; aged ewes and lambs 13/6 to 18/- (all counted); low-conditioned, sound-mouthed ewes 23/3; two and four-toomcd iialfbred wethers 31/- to 33/3; four and sixtoothed halfbred wethers 30/- t« 33/-; inferior four and six-toothed '' halfbred wethers 26/9 to 28/6; crossbred wether hoggets .19/10 to 20/10: halfbred wether hoggets 19/10 to 20/10; crossbred ewe hoggets 25/4 to 26/4. Fat sheep: Outside sheep included several Southland lines, and a good proportion from South Canterbury. These offerings topped the market. Store cattle: Mostly nondescript sbrts were penned. Two .pens of three-year station steers made £ll 3/6; two to three-year steers £6 15/to £S; two-year heifers to £S 15/-. . Dairy cows: A slack sale, values being down by up to 40/- a head. Tlic best received to fourth calves £6 .to £S; others £2 10/- to £5 15/-; heifers £3 to £7.

Fat pigs: Porkers made .a small entry and sold at an advance mostly. Other baconers were too heavy for the trade and they sold at easier values. Choppers £3 to £5 .13/5; light baconers £3 to £3 . 7/-; heavy baconers £3 15/- to £4 4/6 (average price per lb ihd to 65c1); porkers 43/- to 53/-;. heavy porkers 57/- to 62/- (average price per lb 7id to 9d.) Store pigs: A very heavy entry and a dragging sale, with a pronounced drop at the concluding stage. Weaners 15/- to 42/-; large stores 34/- to 42/-; sows in pig, to £4 15/-.
