Accessories of ail kinds are more important than ever before. Each must. b e beautiful in itself, ■ and harmonise with the others.
Batwing sleeves are an amusing novelty;., tight at the cuff uud enormously wide at the armhole, which is cut down nearly, to the hip.
Collars are quite high on many of the ne w house frocks. Draped frocks are worn again, the fullness, being generally drawn on to ,one hip and allowed to hang from there.
Embroideries for evening frocks arc generally used in conjunction with beads and sequins.
Fringe is very smart again for afternoon and evening. Gaiters for wet or very cold days are both chic and comfortable.
Hemlines are having, many ups. and downs, and, moreover, hav e both on the same frock as often as not. Ink-blue is one of the newest colours,
Jewels are immensely important and fashionable, both real ones and those rather too good to be true. Knickers to match your frock, of its own material, are Paris’ latest

suggestion. ' „ Lame makes the m6re luxurious evening wraps. It’S chic to have it lined to match your frock. Monograms are still smart things to have on jumpers and handbags, set in a little square, oval or diamond frame. Necklaces are as much of a craze as ever; a neck looks quite undressed without one of some sort. •Ostrich feathers arc -back again; to make lovely collars for our evening wraps is on© of the best things they do. Pumps arc no longer smart; sandals, strapped and laced shoes have quite taken their place. Quiet clothes for the street and gorgeous ones indoors are the choice of the women who dress really beautifully. Roses, roses everywhere, says fashion, and made of every conceivable thing, from chiffon to oilcloth! Sleeves can be wide at the shoulder and tight at th e wrist, or vice versa, or tight all the way down.' Tulle is used for several very new evening frocks, especially in black with short black fringes. Veils ar c almost fancy dress; you never see a modern woman wearing one. Waists may be almost anywhere; with , the new bloused bodices they may bo nowhere, and no harm done. “Xpcnsivc Xtras” accompany the simple-looking frock. Yellow, in all the golden shades, is a favourite colour for evening wear.
Zippers are handy to fasten the gloves, gaiters and handbags used for travelling.
