The contest for the heavyweight wrestling 1 championship between Anderson (Palmerston North) and Dufty (Auckland) was a draw, but the match "was full of excitement for the spectators, especially when the combatants fell off the stage amongst the audience. Dufty was seemingly injured, by the fall and bad to receive , medical advlde. The contest was continued however.
