APRIL WEDDING

WILTON —LIDDICOAT.

Two maids frocked in mauve and eau-de-nil attended the bride whose wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church yesterday.- The Kev. G. T Brown officiated at the ceremony when Agnes, second.daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Liddicoat, of Mangaweka, was married to Walter, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Wilton, of Palmerston North. Mr A. J Graham presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother j Mr Harold Liddicoat. was charmingly gowned in a frock of ivory crepe de chine with an overdress of embossed silk lace. Her 'exquisite veil, richly embroidered in white and silver. was held in place with orange blossom, which was lent to the bride by the bridegroom’s grandmother. Her toilette was completed by silver shoes and stockings and a beautiful boquet of cream lilies, roses, wltn touches of pink and maidenhair fern. Misses Thelma and Violet Llddico-at, who attended their sister as bridesmaids were daintly attired In {rocks of mauve and eau-de-nil crepe de chine, respectively, made alike with insets of Paris shaded guipure lace in the skirt, and caught at the shoulder with a posy of flowers. They also wore coronets and carried boquets to tone with their frocks. Mr J. Bevan, of Feilding fulfilled the Of best man-and Mr. A. Cresswell,- of Palmerston North, was groomsman. A reception was afterwards given at Freeman’s Tea Rooms where Mrs. Liddicoat, mother of the bride received her guests in a clnnl,mon brown ensemble suit with hat and boquet to match. The bridebroom’s mother, Mrs. Wilton, wore a black satin ensemble sifit and hat;Mrs. E. Simpson, the bridegroom’s grandmother, wore a black frock and carried a posy of autumn tinted flowers; Mrs. A. K. Simpson,- Aunt of the bridegroom, sandlewood ensemble suit and hat to match. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch and the bride’s present to the bridegroom a handsome leather attache case. The bridesmaid’s presents were a clock, -and a manicure set. Among the numerous and costley presents were a great display of silverware trophies and medals won by the bridegroom in athletic events. The happy pair left by motor for the north the bride travelling in a sage green wool royal dress with trimmings of sandelwood crepe de chine and buckles with hat •to match and fur coat. ) On their return they intend to make their home in Feilding.
