WEST END OLD BOYS’, CLUB. ' ANNUAL MEETING. .. .. The annual meeting of the West End Old Boys’ Football*, Club was held on Tuesday evening, Mr G. Lyne presiding. There was an attendance of .24 old and new members and keen interest was displayed in the future activities of the club. The annual report stated that the club had a playing membership of 22 and last season played all matches In Saturday competitions, winning three. In the ‘‘sudden death” competition the club were runners-up ’ to . St, Patrick’s. At the end of the season a successful social had been held in conjunction- with the West End Old Girls’ Hockey Club, a profit of over £3 10s resulting. It was purposed to hold further functions this winter. Thanks were expressed to the West End School Committee for the use of i the school buildings and the vicepresidents for their practical support. A small credit balance was disclosed. The election of officers resulted as follow:—Patron, Mr. H. Mudgway; president, Mr G. Lynei vice-presi-dents 33 elected: lion, secretary! Mr. K. Schlierike: treasurer; Mr. CL Lyne; club captain, Mr C. Podjursky; captain, Mr J. Anderson; vice-captain, Mr G. A. Schlierike: auditor, Mr- A. W. Thompson: committee, Messrs B. de Clene, J. Check, T .Downing, J. Dufficld, H. Piercy ) L. Baigent; coach, Mr E. Anderson. It was decided to enter third and fourth grade teams this season, and to make arrangements for a match with the Wanganui Pirates Club for Easter Monday. The Rugby Union Is to be asked to allocate the club onp evening a week for gymnasium practice'.
