TWO HOUSES TOTALLY DESTROYED.

[“Times” Special.]

Two buildings, one the property of Mr. W. Darragh, of Rotorua, and occupied by Mrs. Charles Donovan, and the Other owned by Mr. F. Tees and occupied by Mr. H. Duker , were totally destroyed about midnight last night by fire. Mr. Donovan lost all his furniture and belongings and very little was saved out of Mr. Duker’s house.,

A large band of, fire<-fighterg prevented neighbouring buildings from being also destroyed. A building owned by Mr. C. P, Wood* across the street caught fire on several occasions, but the desperate efforts of willing helpers extinguished the blaze, and saved this property.
