SOUTH AFRICAN WAR VETERANS
ANKTJAIi MEETING. Captain Braddell presided over "the annual meeting of the South African War Veterans’ Association on Monday evening, when there was a good attendance of members at the Anzao Club. ; The annual report and balancesheet showed the association to be in a flourishing condition, the chairman commenting on the satisfactory financial positon. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Major Bosworth; vice-president. Mr. W. A. Baldwin; secretary, Mr. W. Wilson; committee. Major Hume, Captain Braddell, Messrs. Bendall, Haslock, Danlcshear, Glllanders and E. H. Jamieson (representing honorary members). It was decided that the members talcs' part in tho. Anzao Day celebrations in conjunction with kindred bodies. Eulogistic references to the services of the, retiring president. and vicepresident, Captain Braddell and Mr. A. Bendall respectively, were made, the two gentlemen being accorded a vote of thanks. A similar vote was passed to the Returned Soldiers’ Association for the use of the room.
