Blackbourn being-voted to the • chair. - -■ v ■ it was decided to break adrift.from the combined, Manawatu Association, the chairman explaining that a combined Association had been a. cumbersome body and there had been a far amount of difference in opinions. Other large centres had their separate Associations, and what was more, the funds that the, ladies raised would then go to their own body. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron Mrs W. Palmer (H.5.0.G.)., G. G. Hancox (Technical,), L. H. "Collinson , (C. and C.), Miss Bjackmore (Rosco), ; secretary: Mr, H. McDowell; treasurer, Miss D. de Clecnc; delegate to N.Z.D.H.A., Mr , McDowellf ; executive committee; One delegate from each ; club. The President, secretary, Messrs Broughton, Blackbourn and Milne were appointed a committee to draw up rules arid 'regulations for the Association to be submitted to the first meeting of the Association. Milne; exafnination board: Messrs Aitchison.and Cliffe;. delegates to N.Z.H.R.A:, Messrs Cliffe and Knowles. . - - ■ It was moved that owing to the lax manner in which the New Zealand Referees’ Association in Wellington had treated the affiliated Associations during past seasons, that this association give notied of motion to the next annual meeting in • Wellington that headquarters be moved from,-Wellington, preferably to 'Palmerston North. “■ -.-- ' The secretary was voted an honorarium for services during the past season. r ■ Recommendations to the incoming members for season; (1) That referees .when appointed to control games Turn out’in whites whenever possible; (2) that a badge be issued to all classified'members; (3) that each club supply a line umpire; (4) that should any member be a delegate for a club which has lodged an appeal such members retire from the meeting during the hearing of such appeal. Before, closing the. meeting the chairman made reference to alleged grievances of players towards referees’ arid hoped that during the coming season players would show more consideration and respect towards the referees who gave their time and services freely in the interests of the game.
