EUCHRE AFTERNOON
A most enjoyable progressive euchre tournament was hold yesterday after- <■; noon in Collinson and Cunninghame's tea-rooms by the members and friends of tho Manawatu Women's Club. The winners were Mrs. H. Dickel and Miss McFarlane, the consolation being awarded to ' Miss Heighw.ay, Mrs. Phillips won the lucky seat, while “Felix" was won by Mrs. Fowler. Thanks are due to Mesdames Nathan L. Seifert, L. Collinson, G. 33. Trevor and Crossley for prizes donated. The object cf the afternoon was to raise funds to provide a hamper *for patients in the Mental Hospital, and as a result over £lO is already In hand.
