STORING SUMMER CLOTHES
Summer frocks should be washed, mended and thoroughly aired before putting away. If the starch is left in them it will rot the material and they Will be Of. little use next season.*They Should be wrapped in newspaper, and placed in a dry cupboard or wardrobe, •witlv a few sprigs of lavender scattered about. . . .: :• : Tussore or fuji silk is best put aside rough-dry,' and other silks should be shaken free from dust and put on the line for. a day or two before storing. " In the"'case ~6f expensive silk or woollen dresses or Coats, it is a good plan to make wide calico bags the length of the garment. Sew a large loopV to. the Waist and draw this through the neck of the bag, which should then be tightly tied round the neck so'that even the smallest insect cannot get in. Place a little camphor in the bottom of .the' bag. Newspapers should be used plentifully whore’ clothes are stored as the ink will tend to keep moths away.
