A Hamburg engineer has Invented a floating dock for effecting repairs on the high seas. The dock is 260 yards long and capable of a speed of fourteen miles an hour.

The base and aides consist of airchambers which can be filled or emptied to lower or raise the dock, which Is capable of dealing with ships of 15.000 tons. '
