BURGLARS ABOUT
DWELLING ENTERED. On Friday evening last during the temporary absence of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Fowler from their residence in Camden street, burglars broke in and removed money and jewellery. On returning home, Mrs. Fowler no. ticed that her purse, which had been left on the dressing-table, had been relieved of its contents, and three rings valued at £6O had been stolen from a jewel casket. Other jewellery had not been touched. About a week prior to this burglary, some unknown person was discovered prowling about a house in Pha.razyn street. The occupiers assumed that the person concerned was preparing to effect an entrance when he was disturbed and made away into the dark across a paddock. Tlie police are prosecuting inquiries.
