The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: Bo.ef. —The market is firm and although southern buyers have been operating, sufficient is coming forward to meet the demand, and prices have not improved since our last report. It certainly looks as If we have seen the top price this spring. Fat Sheep.—Plenty of fat sheep are offering with prices firm at late quotations, best prime store wethers making up to 29s and prime ewes •22s 6d. ~ , Store Sheep.—A good enquiry still exists for hoggets, ewes and lambs, and wethers out of the wool. Store Cattle.- —With the abundance of feed about, the market for all classes of store cattle is Arm, grown bullocks, young steers and good frame store cows are wanted, and there is a keen demand fo. good yearling Jersey heifers. Dairy Cattle.— Only small yardmgs are now coming forward, but good dairy cows and choice springing heifers are still meeting with good competition. pigs,—The market is somewhat easier, big yardings coming forward, prices for baconers and porkers being equal to fid per lb. Stores are still meeting with ready sale. Horses.—Good farm sorts arc selling well, but heavy draughts and light horses arc not in demand.
