The first instalment of £750,000 indemnity sanctioned by the Prussian Parliament was paid to-day. when a cheque for £250,000 wa: sent to the former Kaiser’s bank ers. Two other equal instalment: will be paid In February and March. The greater part of the first instalment will be swallowed-up in payment of the cx-Kaiser’s and • his family’s long outstanding debts.
