Whites Killed by Natives
TROUBLE PROM CLAIMJUMPERS

Wireless reports state that a serious disturbance with natives occurred at Talasea, near Kabaul, three whites being killed, and one wounded, whilst one is missing. The leader of the first primitive expedition returned to Kabaul for reinforcements, and reported that one thousand natives, armed with spears, were awaiting them. Trouble on the mining field is also reported, owing to the miners jumping claims.
