'A POSTAL RECORD SYDNEY, Oct. 21. Ca.n this be beaten in New Zealand ? On October 20, 1024. a seed merchant in one of the suburbs of Sydney posted to a client, at Narrabrl West, a country town in New South Wales, a card informing: him that the. seed which he had purchased had been despatched by parcels post. A few days ago, 23 months after its despatch, the card was delivered in Narrahri West. Election battles have been won and lost Sir Alan Cohham has flown from London to Australia and back home again, the little seed whose despatch was announced in the communication have grown into lusty plants and shod new crops of seeds, while Ihe little card has been loitering somewhere or other on the road between Sydney and Narrabri. It bad taken close on two years to travel about SfiO miles.
