SEASON OPENS ON SATURDAY. At the mooting of the Management Committee held on Thursday, the 2Sth inst., nominations were received from the undermentioned teams for the A and B Grade competitions, and fixtures and grounds were drawn as follows; — A Grad? (First Round). Series Ist, 6th and 13th November: Public Service v. Colyton. Kowhai Park No. 1. Podding v. Old Boys. Kowhai Park No. 2. Scries 2nd, 20th and 2th November: Public Service v. Podding, Kowhai Park, No. 1. Old Boys v. Colyton, Kowhai Park, No. 2. Scries 3, 4th and 11th December: Public Service v. Old Boys, Kowhai Park, No. 1. Colyton v. Podding, Kowhai Park, No. 2. -Second round as for the first round, but on the alternative wicket. B Grade (First Round). Series 1, 6th November: High School v. Wanderers, Public Service v. Sandon. Series 2, 13th November: High School v. Wanderers, r’ublic Service v. Sandon. Series 3, 20th November: Wanderers v. Public Service. High School v. Sandon. The grounds for the B Grade are not fixed yet, but almost certainly High School will play on its own ground for the first round matches.
