ALL SAINTS’ JUBILEE. There were large attendances further augmented by a church parade of the Boy Scouts, the Girl Guides and the Brownies, at both the morning and evening services held on Sunday, the services being taken by Rev. W. A. Walton. Last evening the church was filled to its utmost capacity. Visiting clergy were Archdeacon Innos-Jones. Canon Petrie (Feilding), Rev. J. C. Abbott (Terrace End), Rev. W. E. Trcmaync, I Rev. H. F. Wilson (a former vicar of All Saints, now of Paraparaumu), Rev. .1. C. Davis (Levin) and Rev. AV. Adams (Feilding).
The Archdeacon, prior to preaching his sermon on "Reasons why we should attend Church, and the privileges derived therefrom,” referred to the early history of the church, and especially mentioned the church-warden (.Mr. A. S. Easton) who had held this office for forty-six years, until within tour years of the Jubilee now being celebrated. This, he thought, was a record for the province. The singing was a special feature of the service, the church choir being assisted by members from Feilding, Levin, Rongotea and St. Peter’s (Terrace End. The beautiful pipe organ was heard to advantage, and Mrs. E. Jackson, who presided at the instrument, is deserving of special mention. The offering is to be devoted to the choir fund.
