CIVIL SERVANTS RETIRE
FURTHER APPOINTMENTS MADE. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Last Night. Three prominent civil servants in Auckland will retire on superannuation as from Sunday. They are Messrs. W. S. Fisher, Official Assignee, A. V. Sturtovant, District Lands Registrar, and W. G. Fletcher, Deputy Commissioner of Stamps Duties. Mr. W. Johnston ,of Napier, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Sturtovant, and Mr. H. B. Walton, of the Auckland Stamps Office, to succeed Mr. Fletcher. Mr. Fisher’s successor has not yet been appointed.
