CANADIAN RAILWAYS PAYING
INCREASE OF NEARLY 50 PER CENT. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Thursday, 8.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, Oct. 27. Canadian national railways statement .issued to-day, shows the nett earnings for the nine months of 1926 at 25,743,000 dollars, as compared with 12, 326,000 in the corresponding period of 1925. This is tho largest total for such a period since the amalgamation in 1023, of the lines forming the present system.
