Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date September 2 (last week's quotations shown in parentheses):— Butter. —Market very weak. We quote: New Zealand finest salted, 164 s to 166 s (166 s to 170 s); Danish, 174 s (1765). Australian finest salted. 162 s to 164 s (164 s to 1683); unsaved, 166 s (168 s to 170 s). Cheese.—Market very weak. We quote: New Zealand, coloured S3* to S4s (S4s to 86s): white. Sss to 86s (86s to 89s); Canadian, coloured 83s to 84s (84s to 86s); white, 85a to SGs (86s to 89s). Stored butter asking price IGOs to 1625, but little doing. Butter prices are nominal. MELBOURNE HIDES SALES. MELBOURNE, Sept. 3. The hides market is strong. Ah lines advanced l-Bd.
